Yesterday, Mocca orgainzed the Full Throttle Carnival at the National Stadium Car Park G in front of the Leisure Park. Admission is FREE.
During the carnival, Mediacorp Christopher Lee and the FHM Queens will wipe clean your car windscreens, you can play go karting and you can sit on Harley Davidsons with the FHM Race Queens!
Plus, you got a chance to win a brand new Suzuki Swift luck draw!
I saw the advertisement on the TV so many times last week and the strange and funny thing is:
why didn’t I go?
p.s: Will Mocca organize another similar car carnival?
Let’s keep a watchout.
How did a tiny island of about 4 million people transform from a fishing village in 1965 with no natural resources to become one of the richest city in southeast asia within 43 years?
How did we do it?

Songs For Lovers By Shunza
This album is a compilation of some of the greatest love ballads like “Smooth Operator”, “Bizarre Love Triangle”, “My Funny Valentine” and many others.
I still remember that rainy night when I hear her songs from the local radio while I was driving. Her “velvet” voice mesmerizes me and I went to buy her album the next day.
It is really romantic to listen to her songs while you are driving at night especially rainy days.
Unlike other pop idols who perform in front of screaming fans, her concerts are more initimate and cocktail style. In 1999, she was hailed as the Best Female Singer and Best Composer at the 10th Golden Melody Awards.
Recently, I was watching the taiwanese variety show - Big Brother ( 綜藝大哥大) and one of their highlights is the puppet opera. I used to think that puppet opera is already outdated in singapore and less appealing to young people nowadays but after I watched the show I was so impressed how the taiwanese people able to turn the traditional puppet opera into such an interesting and exciting performance. This demostrated that traditional arts can still be very attractive and popular with modern lifestyle if you know how to re-market them.
p.s: I really missed the Taiwanese delicious street food, their vibrant night market and their friendly people. I hope I can go there again and to see their puppet opera performance in live.
